Short filmmakers are doing amazing work. DO NOT let the festival go by without having seen one of our shorts programs. There are BOYS' SHORTS and GIRLS' SHORTS to choose from, but also programs like DEAR DIARY (an amazing collection of work made by and about queer youth), and VERY ANIMATED (filled with the queerest of 'toons).
The festival provides a variety of interactive panels and readings, allowing you access and a better understanding of the art of filmmaking. WOMEN UNDER THE INFLUENCE is a panel where successful women in the industry will discuss some life-changing films. In MASTER CLASS WITH DANIEL MINAHAN, the writer and director will share his work and experience with our audience. And VANPOOL: THE SERIES is a script reading showcasing the talents of screenwriter Sean West, and a group of local actors.
Throughout this festival we've placed some archival and retrospective picks. Short film award winners from previous years show up in several programs, and two tenth anniversary feature films will be shown on gorgeous 35mm prints: THE INCREDIBLY TRUE ADVENTURE OF TWO GIRLS IN LOVE, and the first movie ever shown at the Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, BEAUTIFUL THING!
